Bastia is one of the most popular ports in Corsica and the busiest in the Mediterranean Sea. It claims to handle 60% of all passenger and freight traffic. It is managed by the Chamber of Commerce since 1920 and was most recently renovated in 2005. In addition to ample yacht parking space, the port also offers free shuttle services, tourist brochures, and other amenities. You can easily walk to the center of Bastia city and explore the vivid Corsican life.
Unlike Calvi and Ajaccio, Bastia is known for its bars and cafes that line the streets where you can explore the everyday Corsican life.
