Chiara Cannavò — Stewardess / Cook (Italian)
Chiara Cannavò joins M/Y MANARA PRIMA with a strong and consistent track record as stewardess and deckhand on both motor and sailing yachts. Born in Italy in 1995, she brings valuable experience gained aboard vessels such as M/Y MY DRAGON, M/Y CETAWAYO, and S/Y PIROPO, having worked across both private and charter programmes.
She has held sole stewardess positions on S/Y MA DAI and M/Y AMISHA, managing all aspects of interior service with professionalism and discretion. Chiara is trained in silver service and yacht etiquette, and holds an advanced diploma in Shipping Management, with additional studies in ship broking and charter operations.
Fluent in English and Italian, she is appreciated for her calm demeanour, cross-cultural communication skills, and focused, guest-oriented approach. She is a confident, mature crew member with a genuine passion for the industry and for delivering a seamless guest experience.
Giuseppe Monaco — Captain (Italian)
Giuseppe Monaco was born in Siracusa in 1976 and currently resides in Sicily. After obtaining a Nautical Diploma with a specialisation as Maritime Transport Surveyor, Giuseppe pursued advanced studies, eventually earning the professional title of Yacht Captain.
To this end, he has achieved some of the highest professional qualifications, including Master 200GT/OOW 500 MCA, Master 500GT, as well as all required certifications such as STCW 95, Radar, ECDIS, Medical Care Onboard, GMDSS GOC, Security Awareness IMS, and Yachtmaster Offshore and Ocean – Power & Sail. He also holds certifications as both a lifeguard for sea rescue and a PADI OWD diver.
His sailing experience in the Mediterranean has been built over the years on various sailing and motor yachts up to 50 metres.
Endowed with undeniable qualities both professionally and personally, Giuseppe combines technical navigation expertise with a strong ability to manage guest needs and expectations.
Attentive, discreet, and reliable are the traits that best define him. Giuseppe is passionate about his work and knows Sicily and the Mediterranean Sea intimately. He speaks Italian and English.
