QUASAR Yacht Description

Presented by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht QUASAR is a 153.5 ft motor yacht featuring a jetski and a hot tub. The primary distinction of QUASAR are her absolute comfort and experienced crew. QUASAR spends the season in Corsica. She was delivered by the famous yacht builder Bilgin Yachts in 2016. A well-done refit was completed in 2024. The spacious yacht layout features 6 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 12 guests.

QUASAR is classified as a superyacht. The key part of the boat -roomy aft deck, leads to the the heart of the yacht - the main saloon. The main saloon is a gathering space to spend time when the weather is not ideal and enables a number of media entertainment options.

Alan Griffith — Captain (British)
As a professional yacht captain with over 20 years of extensive cruising experience, Alan navigated both charter and private yachts ranging from 24m to 82m. Throughout his career, he has established a solid reputation as a reliable and trustworthy individual, known for my strong communication and management skills. His familiarity with a wide range of cruising grounds enables him to offer our guests new and exciting experiences. He is committed to creating a positive work environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and crew morale. Alan’s focus is always on delivering the highest levels of service within the industry. Michael Cutter — First Officer (British )
Upon leaving school at 16 years old, Michael enrolled at the Southampton Maritime Technology Centre. He studied Marine Engineering for 3 years and attained a BTEC National Award in Marine Business.Michael's itchy feet and rumours of the Superyacht industry inspired him to travel to Antibes in the South of France at age 19. He was lucky enough to gain a Junior Deckhand position on M/Y Al Mirqab, one of the biggest and most modern super yachts of its time. Michael completed his Masters last Summer, recently joined the team on M/Y Quasar and is committed to helping make some special memories guests will never forget. Michael Michael enjoys Snowboarding, Wakeboarding, Diving, Tennis, Padel, Squash and Golf in his own time and keeps up to date with upcoming sporting events.
Ellie Slawin — Stewardess (English )
Ellie grew up in the picturesque English countryside, where her love of nature and the outdoors began. With nearly four years of experience in the yachting industry, Ellie has built an impressive career spanning the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Pacific, gaining a wealth of knowledge along the way. Before joining the world of yachting, Ellie completed a Master's degree in Sustainability and spent a year working as a consultant in that field. This background shapes her mindful approach both on and off the yacht, bringing a sense of care, awareness, and intention to everything she does. In her free time, Ellie embraces an active and adventurous lifestyle. She enjoys running, yoga, and Pilates, and loves being in or on the water—whether that's scuba diving or surfing. Henrique began his career as a car engine developer but he has been sailing since the age of 12 in Cannes. This technical background, combined with a lifelong passion for the sea, lead him into the yachting industry, where he spent 20 years working on various motor and sailing yachts. In recent years, he has been living onboard his sailing catamaran, completing an extensive voyage from Cannes to Thaiti. Throughout his travels, he has remained closely connected to yachting, assisting several superyachts along the way. Henrique is an experienced sailor with a strong interest in diving , marine conservation, travel and music composition.
Tyron Adams — Bosun (South African )
Bosun : Tyron is a highly motivated and dedicated deckhand with 3 years of experience in the maritime industry. Pierre Luigi is originally from the Philippines but has grown up in Italy speaking Italian, English and Filipino fluently. He assists the Bosun with all water sports and tender driving operations as well as making the boat sparkle. His constant willingness to help in all areas on board makes him a much-valued part of the team. He has a warm personality and a great sense of humour, you will often find him laughing and smiling.
Jhanelle Duraan — Chief steward/ess (South African )
Originally from the coastal city of Durban on South Africa's warm eastern shoreline, Jhanelle completed her studies in marketing before pursuing a career at sea, combining her love for travel, hospitality, and new experiences. Jhanelle has a natural flair for creating memorable guest experiences, with her creativity reflected in beautifully styled table settings, thoughtful decorative detail, and a strong sense of presentation onboard. Her warm personality helps guests feel immediately comfortable and at home. When visiting new destinations, Jhanelle enjoys exploring local culture and style. In her free time, she enjoys reading, fitness, snorkelling and discovering new places.
