Davide Atzeni — First Officer (Italian)
Davide is attentive, outgoing, and delighted to be working aboard SOUTH. After earning a bilingual diploma in Italian and Spanish, Davide immediately embarked on a career in the yachting industry as a deckhand with a desire to travel and meet new people from different backgrounds. He is always approachable and keen to ensure your time spent aboard is the best it can be. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cycling, and running. Davide is fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish. The crew holds him in the highest esteem because he always does his best in any task he has. Davide looks forward to welcoming you on board.
Jeremy Salcedo — Deckhand (Filipina)
Jeremy is an able seaman with a long experience in the luxury yachting industry. Jeremy's friendly nature and positive attitude make him a joy to be around for guests and crew alike. As a deckhand, he plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of onboard activities and providing exceptional service to our guests. He loves to take guests snorkeling, and exploring the pearls that SOUTH encounters.

Niccolò D'Urso — Chef (Italian)

Chef Nicola will really amaze your taste buds! He is resourceful, passionate about his job and methodical. During his career, he worked as chef for many famous restaurants in Sicily. His experience allows him to create tailor-made menus that thoroughly meet guests’ preferences. Nicola always takes guests through a sensational gastronomic journey in which are included particular recipes from the Sicilian tradition. Handmade bread and pizza are among his strong points, his “Sicilian citrus flavored Cannolo” is a delight. He tries to improve his skills day after day and gives great importance to guests’ opinion, his way of being creates a pleasant atmosphere on board. Nicola looks forward to welcoming you onboard and showing you his mouth-watering dishes. He speaks English and Italian.
Ma. Corazon Castro — Stewardess (Filipina)
Ma. Corazon Castro's journey into the maritime industry was sparked by her initial studies in the hospitality sector. Her insatiable curiosity to explore new places and immerse herself in diverse cultures eventually led her to the nautical life, where she found her true calling. MC brings her vibrant personality and professionalism to every aspect of her work. With a warm smile and a genuine desire to ensure guest satisfaction, MC embodies the essence of hospitality onboard SOUTH. Her diligence and commitment to excellence, combined with her skills, make her a perfect stewardess.
Francesco Puglisi — Captain (Italian)
Born in the picturesque town of Mazara del Vallo, Francesco comes from a long line of sailors - his deep passion for the sea runs in the family. After graduating from the nautical institute, he began his career in the yachting industry at the age of 19, quickly diving into the world of nautical charters. He started as a deckhand and swiftly rose to the position of First Officer aboard the Ethna, a Ferretti CL 97.
During his time on Ethna, Francesco honed his professional skills and developed an exceptional rapport with clients, thanks to several demanding and dynamic charter seasons. In 2020, after logging thousands of nautical miles and successfully completing numerous charters across the Mediterranean, he earned the rank of Captain.
Since 2023, Francesco has been at the helm of EOLIA, a Ferretti CL Navetta 26 owned by the same Owner. His leadership and dedication have earned consistent praise from both Guests and Brokers. Thanks to the trust and esteem of the Owner, his colleagues, and his mentor - the former Captain of South - Francesco now proudly commands this prestigious yacht.
John Ebit — Deckhand (Filipino)
John brings over five years of hospitality experience, gained both on cruise ships and in the yachting industry. He began his maritime journey as a commis de cuisine aboard a cruise ship, where he developed strong teamwork, communication, and guest service skills in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
After transitioning into yachting as a steward, John quickly adapted to the high standards of luxury service, gaining valuable experience in guest interaction, attention to detail, and vessel presentation. His versatility and commitment make him a reliable and proactive crew member, always ready to go the extra mile to ensure a flawless guest experience.
With a strong work ethic, a professional attitude, and a passion for hospitality, John plays a key role in maintaining the high standards expected on board M/Y SOUTH, contributing to smooth operations and guest satisfaction throughout every charter.
